Samidori ceremonial-grade matcha is a single-cultivar matcha sourced from the renowned tea fields of Uji, Kyoto. Its vivid green color and creamy, umami-rich flavor make it a favorite for traditional tea ceremony and for anyone who wants matcha at its smoothest.
Why Samidori?
- Ceremonial grade: hand-picked from the first spring flush for peak freshness
- Distinctive flavor: creamy sweetness with soft, nutty undertones unique to the Samidori cultivar, and very little bitterness
- Naturally energizing: contains naturally occurring caffeine and L-theanine for a calm, steady lift
How to Prepare
Sift 1–2 g (about ½ tsp) of matcha into a bowl, add 70 ml (2.5 oz) of water at 170–175°F, and whisk briskly in a zigzag motion with a bamboo chasen for 15–20 seconds until frothy. For a latte, top with 6–8 oz of steamed or iced milk. Store sealed in the refrigerator after opening.
Product of Japan. 30g tin, 20–30 servings.
